Technology brief
is an integrated autonomous power-and-communications system for unmanned platforms needing multi-week endurance, low detectability, and freedom from charging/fueling.
The challenge
Primary use cases: fixed-wing endurance UAVs; stealth ISR drones; autonomous border patrol; humanoid/ground robotics; special operations (zero-logistics, denied areas).
Industries and users: militaries, border/government security, special forces.
Scale: per-platform module(s); retrofit to existing UAVs.
ARBOK solution
GEREON AIRNET is an integrated autonomous power-and-communications system for unmanned platforms needing multi-week endurance, low detectability, and freedom from charging/fueling. Its core is Gereon — a binary energy module (generation + storage in one unit, no combustion, no moving parts) delivering up to 24 kWh/day and enabling up to 1 000 hours non-stop. It removes lithium's weaknesses (short flight, fire risk, recharging) and combustion's acoustic/thermal signature — silent, cold, autonomous — and pairs with IASS for ultra-long-range comms.
> Power core is the Gereon binary battery — see BINARY BATTERY · SEANET. This entry covers the UAV/defense application.
The Gereon binary module generates and stores power in one compact unit (no combustion, no moving parts, no gas release), giving silent, cold, long-duration energy. IASS provides the data channel beyond line-of-sight. Originally a humanoid-robot power plant, adapted for tactical UAVs.
Limitations: not a high-burst traction source; comms prioritize continuity over bandwidth.
Market and application
Persistent ISR, border surveillance, and denied-area operations are constrained today by UAV energy and comms range. A logistics-free, low-signature, multi-week power + over-horizon comms package opens a new class of persistent autonomous airborne systems for defense and government.
Value from eliminated fuel/battery logistics, low maintenance, and 24/7 persistence (no rotation/charging downtime); existing UAVs upgradeable. (Per-program economics by platform and mission profile.)
Use cases
Primary use cases: fixed-wing endurance UAVs; stealth ISR drones; autonomous border patrol; humanoid/ground robotics; special operations (zero-logistics, denied areas).
Industries and users: militaries, border/government security, special forces.
Scale: per-platform module(s); retrofit to existing UAVs.
Steps: select platform → integrate Gereon module(s) + IASS → field-validate → deploy. Minimal maintenance; remote/autonomous operation; weeks-long missions without logistics tail.
Built on the Gereon/Binary Battery platform; integrates IASS comms; retrofittable to UAV fleets; fits ISR/EW/counter-UAV command networks.

Power: up to 24 kWh/day (~1 kW sustained). Runtime: up to 1 000 hours. Module: 12.5 kg / 12 L. Thermal/acoustic signature: extremely low; no refueling/recharging; sub-zero (−20 °C and below) capable.
Comms (IASS): range 1 000–10 000+ km (vs 150–300 km line-of-sight); real-time audio, telemetry, reduced-bitrate video; stable in low-bandwidth.
Gereon binary energy module (power); IASS communications layer; UAV/platform integration; low-observability design. Retrofit-capable onto existing UAVs.
Technical: multi-week endurance; silent, cold, non-flammable; ultra-low acoustic/thermal/radar signature; all-weather.
Economic: no fuel/battery logistics; low maintenance (no moving parts); 24/7 missions (no charging window).
Strategic: shifts from "burst missions" to persistent presence; airspace as infrastructure.
Environmental: no combustion or emissions.

TRL 4 (confirmed by Michael). Validated at lab/relevant-environment level; the "field-tested" claim not yet substantiated. Remaining: field demonstration, defense qualification.
