The challenge

The problem this technology addresses

Organo-mineral fertilizer for diverse soils/climates (certified for organic agriculture); phosphate-stockpile and sludge-field remediation; on-site "Home Made Fertilizer" (HMF) via TAS concentrate blended with organic material at remote farms.

Users: agriculture, phosphate producers, municipalities, agri-hubs.

ARBOK solution

How the ARBOK system creates value

ARBOK-FERTILIZER converts phosphate waste (e.g. phosphogypsum) and biological waste (manure, sludge, crop residues) into high-quality organo-mineral fertilizer via a low-temperature vacuum evaporation process. The dry, nutrient-rich product sells at $70–200/ton — up to 2× cheaper than synthetic alternatives and comparable in quality — while solving hazardous-waste disposal for the phosphate and livestock industries.

Phosphate waste and organic waste are blended and undergo thermal treatment under deep vacuum, evaporating the bulk of the feedstock moisture into a dry, low-moisture organo-mineral mass safe for direct use. Phosphates enhance manure decomposition/nutrient release; the process neutralizes sludge pathogens and odor; biomass cellulose/lignin break down into carbon-rich, moisture-retentive compounds.

Limitations: product composition varies with feedstock mix; heavy-metal/contaminant screening of phosphogypsum and sludge required for certification.

Market and application

Commercial opportunity

Global fertilizer demand is huge and import-exposed, while phosphogypsum stockpiles and livestock waste are growing disposal liabilities. Phase I (2025–2030): ~10M t phosphate + 20M t organic → up to 10M t/year fertilizer, ~$1.05B/year revenue. Phase II (2030–2050): scaling to ~$2.1B/year fertilizer + biogas + land return; claimed net economic impact $70–75B+ over 25 years.

Product $70–200/ton; very low specific energy consumption; double payback from fertilizer sales + waste-disposal offset ($15–20B disposal savings claimed). Optional TURBIO methane capture $1–2M/year/plant. BOT financing. Figures indicative at program scale.

Use cases

Where the technology can be applied

Organo-mineral fertilizer for diverse soils/climates (certified for organic agriculture); phosphate-stockpile and sludge-field remediation; on-site "Home Made Fertilizer" (HMF) via TAS concentrate blended with organic material at remote farms.

Users: agriculture, phosphate producers, municipalities, agri-hubs.

Modular 2–5 MW thermal plants co-located with phosphate plants, sludge fields, or farms; BOT contracts for municipalities/agri-hubs. Operation follows a multistage route: feedstock blending, vacuum evaporation, then finishing and bagging. HMF option ships TAS concentrate for on-site mixing.

Overview

ARBOK-FERTILIZER converts phosphate waste (e.g. phosphogypsum) and biological waste (manure, sludge, crop residues) into high-quality organo-mineral fertilizer via a low-temperature vacuum evaporation process. The dry, nutrient-rich product sells at $70–200/ton — up to 2× cheaper than synthetic alternatives and comparable in quality — while solving hazardous-waste disposal for the phosphate and livestock industries.

Applications

Organo-mineral fertilizer for diverse soils/climates (certified for organic agriculture); phosphate-stockpile and sludge-field remediation; on-site "Home Made Fertilizer" (HMF) via TAS concentrate blended with organic material at remote farms.

Users: agriculture, phosphate producers, municipalities, agri-hubs.

Operating Principle

Phosphate waste and organic waste are blended and undergo thermal treatment under deep vacuum, evaporating the bulk of the feedstock moisture into a dry, low-moisture organo-mineral mass safe for direct use. Phosphates enhance manure decomposition/nutrient release; the process neutralizes sludge pathogens and odor; biomass cellulose/lignin break down into carbon-rich, moisture-retentive compounds.

Limitations: product composition varies with feedstock mix; heavy-metal/contaminant screening of phosphogypsum and sludge required for certification.

Key Parameters

Inputs: a blend of phosphate waste and organic waste. Process: deep-vacuum thermal evaporation, removing the bulk of feedstock moisture. Energy: very low specific energy consumption, among the lowest in the sector. Water recovery: high, most process water is recovered. Product: two grades — a standard blend and a nitrogen-enriched variant — each combining phosphate, nitrogen and organic-carbon content comparable to premium synthetic and organic-certified fertilizers. Price: $70–200/ton. HMF: TAS concentrate blended on-site with organic material.

Note: composition and economics depend on feedstock and require per-site validation.

Architecture and Components

Deep-vacuum thermal evaporation unit; feedstock blending (phosphate + organic); drying/finishing; optional ARBOK-TURBIO (Closed-Loop Hydro Power Generator) hydropower module (fuel/water-free, methane capture); TAS-concentrate option for HMF. Modular plants (2–5 MW thermal), co-located with phosphate plants, sludge fields, or farms.

Advantages

Technical: very low specific energy consumption, ambient-temperature vacuum process — no heat supplied; pathogen/odor neutralization; high water recovery, minimal liquid discharge. Economic: up to 2× cheaper than synthetic; double payback (fertilizer sales + waste-disposal offset); BOT deployment. Environmental: turns negative-value/hazardous waste into product, organic-certified, reduces import dependency. Strategic: agricultural input independence + waste remediation.

Integrations

Built on Arbok-VC vacuum evaporation; pairs with ARBOK-TURBIO (Closed-Loop Hydro Power Generator) for energy/water independence and biogas; complements AgroSpark and other ARBOK agri-waste platforms; HMF/TAS concentrate distribution.

Deployment & Operation

Modular 2–5 MW thermal plants co-located with phosphate plants, sludge fields, or farms; BOT contracts for municipalities/agri-hubs. Operation follows a multistage route: feedstock blending, vacuum evaporation, then finishing and bagging. HMF option ships TAS concentrate for on-site mixing.

Market Potential

Global fertilizer demand is huge and import-exposed, while phosphogypsum stockpiles and livestock waste are growing disposal liabilities. Phase I (2025–2030): ~10M t phosphate + 20M t organic → up to 10M t/year fertilizer, ~$1.05B/year revenue. Phase II (2030–2050): scaling to ~$2.1B/year fertilizer + biogas + land return; claimed net economic impact $70–75B+ over 25 years.

Typical Project Economics

Product $70–200/ton; very low specific energy consumption; double payback from fertilizer sales + waste-disposal offset ($15–20B disposal savings claimed). Optional TURBIO methane capture $1–2M/year/plant. BOT financing. Figures indicative at program scale.

Risk Factors

Phosphogypsum/sludge contaminant and radionuclide screening needed for certification across jurisdictions. Product composition variability with feedstock. Large revenue projections are program-scale and market-dependent. Logistics of co-location. Regulatory acceptance of waste-derived fertilizer for organic use.
