Overview
IASS is a breakthrough secure communication system for aerospace/space operations using a single antenna on underutilized frequency bands, independent of antenna positioning on the planet. Enables simultaneous video/audio communication and full sensor telemetry streaming on dedicated secure frequencies. Zero reliance on traditional satellite constellation positioning. Replaces "black box" flight recorders by continuously transmitting all aircraft data in real-time to ground stations. Immune to jamming/interception via frequency isolation and encryption. Deployable globally; compatible with aircraft, satellites, spacecraft, ground stations.
Applications
Primary use cases: aircraft real-time telemetry transmission; space vehicle communication; satellite operations; emergency/disaster coordination; military aerospace communications.
Aviation-security use cases: automatic incident detection and recording — hijacking, fire, cockpit breach; real-time transmission of avionics data, smoke sensors and cabin video; replacement of traditional flight data recorders; coverage of remote routes far from main air corridors.
Industries and users: commercial aviation, space agencies (NASA, ESA, etc.), military/defense, emergency services.
Scale: single-antenna integration for any aerospace vehicle; network scales from single user to global coordination.
Operating Principle
System uses a non-standard data link on underutilized frequency bands (proprietary selection) — an unconventional channel not currently used in aviation, providing interference-free long-range transmission. Receiving and transmitting stations can be placed anywhere in the world, including remote regions with no existing infrastructure. Onboard, a network of concealed cameras and sensors monitors the aircraft continuously; on a trigger event — hijacking attempt, panic, gunshot, cockpit damage, proximity of fighter jets, fire or smoke — the system automatically activates and begins transmitting real-time video, audio and full avionics data to the ground. Single antenna transmits/receives video, audio, and sensor data via dedicated secure protocol. Encryption and frequency isolation prevent interception. Ground stations receive all data streams continuously. Unlike traditional systems dependent on satellite passes or line-of-sight, IASS operates omnidirectionally and continuously. Real-time data logging replaces need for black box recovery.
Key Parameters
Antenna: single unit, any positioning on aircraft/satellite.
Frequency bands: underutilized, proprietary selection.
Data streams: video (multiple cameras), audio (cockpit, cabin), all sensor telemetry simultaneously.
Latency: near-real-time (< 1 second).
Encryption: military-grade, immune to jamming.
Global coverage: continuous, regardless of latitude/antenna orientation.
Bandwidth: sufficient for multi-stream video + full telemetry (specs TBD).
Compatibility: retrofittable to existing aircraft/satellites.

Architecture and Components
Single integrated antenna/transceiver module; onboard network of concealed cameras and trigger sensors (smoke, acoustic, cockpit intrusion); secure encryption/encoding electronics; software stack for data packetization and routing; ground stations (distributed globally); network coordination center. Compact, lightweight, low-power design suitable for aerospace integration.
Advantages
Technical: single antenna (simplified); omnidirectional (no positioning constraint); simultaneous multi-stream data; immune to jamming/interception.
Operational: continuous real-time telemetry eliminates black-box recovery delays; enables instant emergency response coordination; compatible with existing avionics.
Safety: instant access to all flight data in emergencies; removes uncertainty from accident investigations.
Military/Strategic: secure, unjammable communication; suitable for classified operations; global coverage without infrastructure dependency.
Integrations
Retrofits to existing aircraft/spacecraft avionics; integrates with air traffic control systems; compatible with emergency response networks; feeds data to analysis/investigation centers.
Deployment & Operation
Steps: frequency allocation/regulatory approval → antenna/transceiver design and qualification → aircraft/satellite integration → ground station network setup → encryption key distribution → operational certification → 24/7 continuous monitoring. Automated data logging and emergency alert triggering.

Market Potential
Aviation industry: ~45 000 commercial aircraft globally; retrofit market €10–50B. Space agencies + military: additional €5–20B. Black-box elimination value alone: €1–5B (cost of recovery operations avoided). Total addressable market: €20–70B over 10 years.
Typical Project Economics
CAPEX (per aircraft retrofit): €50k–200k. Operational cost: minimal (frequency licensing + ground-station operations ≈ €5k–20k/year per aircraft). Value (safety, accident investigation efficiency, emergency response): €500k–2M per incident avoided. Payback: < 1 year for commercial operators (cost avoidance).
Risk Factors
Regulatory approval (FAA, EASA, international aviation authorities); frequency allocation (government negotiations); cybersecurity vulnerabilities (encryption robustness required); integration complexity with legacy avionics; operational security (preventing adversary access to frequency/encryption).
