Overview
EXO2 is an innovative technology for removing carbon dioxide (CO₂) directly from the atmosphere. The system operates using high-purity technical salt (96–98%) and electricity, which can be supplied either from the grid or from an independent energy source. Unlike many existing solutions, EXO2 captures CO₂ not only from ambient air in urban areas but also directly from high-emission sources such as thermal power stations, factory chimneys, or industrial ventilation systems. What sets EXO2 apart is its ability to turn carbon capture into a commercially profitable process: alongside CO₂ removal it produces chlorine gas (Cl₂), collected into industrial-grade cylinders, and sodium carbonate or bicarbonate (Na₂CO₃ / NaHCO₃), produced depending on the type and source of CO₂ input. Both chlorine and soda are well-established commodities in the global chemical market with consistent demand, while EXO2 contributes directly to climate change mitigation and is compatible with frameworks such as the Paris Agreement.
Applications
CO₂ capture from ambient air in urban areas with high atmospheric pollution; capture directly from high-emission sources — thermal power stations, factory chimneys, industrial ventilation systems. Deployable at industrial sites or in urban areas.
Operating Principle
The system consumes high-purity technical salt (96–98%) and electricity from the grid or a proprietary green generator, using a proprietary salt crystallization and energy generation system developed by the EXO2 team. CO₂ is captured from air or industrial exhaust and converted into sodium carbonate or bicarbonate, with chlorine gas released and bottled as a co-product. The entire process is clean, closed-loop, requires no exotic materials, and has zero emissions.

Architecture and Components
Proprietary salt crystallization and energy generation system; CO₂ intake from ambient air or industrial exhaust; chlorine collection into industrial-grade cylinders; soda (Na₂CO₃ / NaHCO₃) powder output. Modular design with scalable productivity depending on the source and concentration of CO₂.
Advantages
Not a cost center but a source of revenue. Operates on renewable, non-scarce raw materials, including seawater salt. Uses a proprietary salt crystallization and energy generation system. Captures CO₂ both from ambient air and from concentrated industrial sources. Clean, closed-loop process requiring no exotic materials, with zero emissions, qualifying as a green technology under EU and UN definitions. Supports CO₂ reduction targets compatible with the Paris Agreement.
