Overview
CHG (Carbo-Hydrogen Generation) is an innovative technology for producing low-pressure hydrogen from any water source — including seawater, polluted water, and greywater — without the use of electrolysis or high energy consumption. It represents a breakthrough in decentralized, low-cost, and emissions-free hydrogen production suitable for maritime vessels, off-grid facilities, and industrial or domestic use. Unlike traditional hydrogen production methods that require electrolysis (with high electricity demand) or methane reforming (which emits CO₂), CHG uses a proprietary metal catalyst, graphene-based cartridges, and simple water to initiate a self-sustaining chemical reaction. Only a small energy input is required to start, after which the process becomes energy-positive, powered by the hydrogen it produces. In addition to hydrogen, the system produces pure water as a byproduct, which can be collected and reused, creating closed-loop ecological systems.
Applications
Marine vessels, where the surrounding seawater becomes the primary fuel; remote operations where fuel delivery is difficult; urban hydrogen hubs for distributed green fuel generation; heating systems, engines, turbines, and hydrogen compression stations; hydrogen vehicle refueling; household or industrial green energy generation.
Operating Principle
A proprietary metal-based composite catalyst combined with proprietary graphene cartridges initiates a self-sustaining chemical reaction with water of any type — clean, dirty, or saline. A minimal initial energy input starts the reaction; thereafter the process is self-sustained by the hydrogen it produces. No high temperatures or pressures are involved and there is no combustion during production. Outputs are clean hydrogen and reusable distilled water, with no emissions and no CO₂.
